Founded in 2001 as a "Friends of the Parks" organization, the Fort Sumter-Fort Moultrie Historical Trust serves as an advocate of Fort Sumter National Monument, including Fort Moultrie.
Our mission is to support the National Park Service's efforts to preserve, protect and enhance the sites for the benefit and education of the public. Created as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Trust works to raise private dollars to supplement gaps in federal funding as well as to secure preservation of the sites and its resources for future generations.
